Free tickets: no fee on EventKiln at any volume. Ticket Tailor is free up to 5,000 free tickets a year.

An honest note

On tickets above about £17.00, Ticket Tailor’s flat fee works out cheaper than ours, and its prepaid credits go lower still (from 22p + VAT). What EventKiln adds: your events listed for discovery on EventKiln, and no fee on free events at any volume.

Organisers who give Eventbrite a VAT ID pay no VAT on its fee. VAT-registered organisers can reclaim VAT on the fees from all three platforms.

Card fees are higher for premium UK cards (1.9% + 20p), EEA cards (2.5% + 20p) and international cards (3.15% + 20p).

Questions

Why is card processing separate for EventKiln and Ticket Tailor?
Both use your own Stripe account, so Stripe charges its card fee to you directly. Eventbrite takes payment itself and includes processing in its fee.
Can buyers pay the fee instead?
On EventKiln buyers always pay the price you set, and our fee comes out of your payout. If you want buyers to cover it, set the ticket price a little higher.
What does EventKiln cost on top of the fee?
Starter plan: unlimited paid events, and up to 3 free events live at a time (a repeating series counts as one, and past events don’t count). Pro plan: unlimited live events, paid or free, and unlimited team members (£15.00/month or £150.00/year). The same booking fee on every plan: 2.5% + £0.30 per paid ticket, UK VAT included, and nothing on free tickets.
